Applications are invited for the position of Park Manager of the Mokolodi Nature Reserve, 15 km from Gaborone, Botswana. The successful applicant is likely to have:
* A Degree or Diploma in wildlife related subjects
* A sound conservation track record with strength
in financial management
* Practical skills in fencing, pump repairs and
vehicle care
* The ability to oversee a wild animal orphanage,
aviary, and cheetah transit facility
* Computer literacy, initiative, and writing skills
* The gift of relating well to the visiting public,
neighbouring communities, and staff (presently
about 40)
Mokolodi is a busy 4 000 hectare reserve with a full Education Centre, (separately staffed). It is run by a Foundation promoting environmental education, sustainable use of natural resources, and the re-introduction of endangered species (particularly the white rhino)into Southern Botswana. An appropriate salary package will be negotiated and will include pleasant accommodation, and use of the park vehicle.
